Printer Setup

The menu path of File | Printer Setup can be used to define the Printer, Paper Size and Orientation.

Drop-down listings contain options for alternative Printers (i.e. printers that are installed on the local machine) and Paper Sizes to be selected.

On a Print Layout, the page size and the printer that is currently assigned to a plot of the active layout is shown at the bottom of the paper outline.  (These are the page size and printer that were defined during the Insert Layout command.)

It is possible to re-define either (or both) of these pieces of this information by selecting File | Printer Setup and choosing an alternative while the Layout is open (active).

If a viewport exists in the layout, when such a change to the page size has been made, the following prompt will appear:

The user can select if they would like to retain the current scale, or use a modified scale, as would be appropriate to the new paper size.

Selecting Yes will scale all plot items by the maximum amount between the X and Y axis.

If the user has made an error in their selection in this window, the Undo function can be used.
