Objects contained within a mineCAD project must be selected prior to the execution of operations upon the object or objects - mineCAD must be told which objects are to be included in the operation.
Objects can be selected individually in the mineCAD design window by placing the cursor over the object of choice and pressing the left mouse button. Right-clicking in the design window will terminate any active function.
Selecting Multiple Objects
Multiple objects can be selected in the design window by one of three methods:
-- Holding down the Shift key and selecting objects in the design window with the left mouse button.
-- Left to Right window - will select any object that is completely enclosed by (i.e. all of its points fall within) the selection window.

Click and hold the left mouse button in the design window and drag the cursor to the right - the window can be created in either an up or down direction.
-- Right to Left window - will select any object containing at least one point falling within the window.

Click and hold the left mouse button in the design window and drag the cursor to the left - the window can be created in either an up or down direction.
mineCAD also contains shortcut functions allowing the user to Select All Entities, All Polylines, All Points or All Solids that currently exist in the design window. The menu path Edit | Select | (Option) can be used to initiate each of the commands, or the Select toolbar contains the shortcut buttons shown below:
Select All Entities
Select All Polylines
Select All Points
Select All Solids
To de-select an object or group of objects in the design window, the user can select another object in the design window, or can press the ESC button to deselect all objects.
A corresponding Deselect All function - menu path Edit | Deselect | (Option) - also exists for each of the Select All functions. The De-Select toolbar buttons are as follows:
De-Select All Entities
De-Select All Polylines
De-Select All Points
De-Select All Solids
Note: Double-clicking on an object with either of the mouse buttons will open the Properties dialog containing the objects' specifications.
